If you have a broadband Internet connection, such as Cable or DSL, you can have unlimited North America  calling, as well as combining the exceptional savings of Internet-to-Phone rates with the convenience and feel of calling from a regular phone. Once the phone is set up using an Internet Gateway adapter, all you need to do is pick up the phone and dial the number you want to call. You don't need to turn on or use a computer.

How does it work?
Select an Internet Telephony device that best fits the way you connect to the Internet.  Select the calling plan above and once the device is installed you can simply pick up the phone and dial any regular number.  The online Control Panel lets you view your calling plan or remaining call credit balance, add more funds to your account, manage your call forwarding, review call history, missed calls, share call credit and more.  Works with all Meridian Norstar phone systems, including the Nortel BCM.

Any phone number in the world.

What do I need?
A connection to the Internet, a computer and any SIP enabled VoIP device.  Below are examples of what your situation might require:

• Cable and DSL users that currently have a standard router can use a Linksys Phone adaptor listed below.
• Cable and DSL users without a router can use the Linksys Router with built-in Phone adaptor combination.  An example would be the Linksys PAP2-NA.

AVAILABLE CALLING PLANS for US & CANADA

Unlimited local and long distance incoming/outgoing calling plan for business is available for $34.95 per month. All you need to do is add an incoming local 416 area code number to your plan. All Incoming calls to your 416-xxx-xxxx number are free.

Purchase a Linksys PAP2T-NA pre-configured to work with your VoIP account for $150.00.  Monthly calling plan charges are extra.

The VoIP monthly plan requires a min. term of 24 months.  Also, installation is available in the Toronto area for a nominal charge.

Why do I want to use a VoIP service?
VoIP is a great way to get extra use out of your Internet connection and save money on phone calls.  The VoIP service offers the ability to reduce or eliminate your expensive phone bill including International calls.  In addition, the FREE features included with the service cost money with other providers.

Linksys PAP2T-NA is a VoIP Adapter with 2 FXS ports. It supports the SIP protocol and is capable of handling G.729 on both FXS ports concurrently.
